EP03: THE END

Image
Rayaan couldn’t stop crying after he read Anika’s diary. He was holding her hand and continuously chanting “I’m sorry for whatever happened to you”. Anika on the other was starring to the wall and was completely avoiding Rayaan. “I can handle all the problems of the world but your separation from me is something unbearable to me. Anyone who tries to separate you from me is my enemy and I don’t care if he is my own father.” He blubbered angrily and stood up. Anika tried to calm him and asked him to handle the situation with care. She said, “I know what happened was wrong and I won’t be able to forget it ever but you need to understand the past cannot be undone and we have the power to choose our future. I will advise you not to take any action in vain”. Rayaan was burning in wrath and he had no interest in listening to the advice of Anika. All he wanted was JUSTICE FOR ANIKA. He left the room and went straight to his house. As soon as he entered the house, he started smashing all the de...

EP02: THE HOSPITAL

Image
Rayaan along with Anika’s mother and father took her to the hospital. Rayaan was driving and Anika’s father sat next beside him. Anika’s mother was on the back seat with Anika’s head on her lap and her legs folded like a mountain, reaching to the other end. Rayaan was confused with what happened and was driving anxiously. The moment which was supposed to be the best moment of life had suddenly turned its direction to the seriousness with no future clearly visible. As soon as they reached hospital Anika was laid on the stretcher and was carried to the operation theatre. Two ward boys were holding the stretcher from the front and two from the back and one complementary was holding the oxygen cylinder which was connected to the oxygen mask of Anika. Rayaan was waiting outside the operation theatre with his fingers crossed, legs shivering and his head weighing down deep in thoughts. He was unable to understand whether it was a small block on the road which his life veh...

EP01: Fixing Marriage Date

Image
Rayaan was preparing for the presentation in his room when his mother shouted from downstairs to call him. He came to the verandah he had in front of his room, from where the hall of the ground floor was clearly visible. He leaned towards the railing and asked, “what is it maa?” “I need some help in preparations.” She paused and further added, “your father has spoken to Anika’s father, they’re coming home to fix your marriage date.” Rayaan blushed in a girly way and asked his mother to wait where she was. He rushed to the room and saved his presentation on his laptop and turned it off. He went towards the mirror and checked if he was looking alright and ran downstairs. He had the biggest smile in the world and to confirm the news he rushed to his father and stood beside him. He wanted to ask him about his conversation with Anika’s father but he didn’t want to look desperate, he wanted to hold his manly look. “I understand why you are here. Do not forget I am your father.” His father sa...

HOUSEWIFE? OR DOCTOR? OR BOTH?

Image
EVERY PERSON HAS DREAMS IN THEIR CHILDHOOD BUT THESE DREAMS FADE AWAY WHEN WE GROW UP. WE OFTEN TEND TO FORGET THESE SOMETIMES DUE TO JOBS OR SOMETIMES THAT DREAMS ARE NO MORE SPECIAL TO US. I MET A LADY AROUND 2 YEARS BACK , AT THAT TIME SHE WAS A HOUSEWIFE. I VISITED HER HOUSE ON A INVITATION OF HIS HUSBAND. MY WHOLE FAMILY WAS INVITED ON HER HUSBAND'S BIRTHDAY PARTY. SURPRISINGLY, WHEN I MET HER COUPLE OF DAYS BACK SHE WAS A DOCTOR. SAME FACE, SAME ATTITUDE, SAME CLOTHES BUT THIS TIME SHE WAS NOT SERVING SOMEONE DISHES BUT INSTEAD SHE WAS TREATING PATIENTS. I WAS A PATIENT THERE TOO😅. I WAS BIT SHOCKED BUT MORE THAN THAT I WAS SURPRISED.I WAS IMPRESSED BY THE VERSATILITY OF LADY , HER TRANSITION WAS SOMETHING WHICH MADE ME CURIOUS ABOUT HER STORY AND WITH ALL MY HEART I FORGOT MY PROBLEM AND BECAME A THREE YEAR OLD WHO LONGS FOR STORIES OF WONDER WOMAN. I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT SHE WAS ALREADY MY HERO TILL NOW I WASN'T KNOWING HER STORY. SO WHEN MY APPOINTMENT NUMBER WAS AN...

THE STORY OF A MIGRANT

Image
LIFE IS FULL OF UPS AND DOWNS, IT CHALLENGES US WHEN WE ARE EITHER AT OUR HIGHEST OR AT OUR LOWEST. PEOPLE WENT THROUGH MANY HARDSHIPS DURING THE INDIA PAKISTAN PARTITION OF 1947. THE INTOLERANCE OF OTHER RELIGION WAS THE ONLY THING YOU CAN FIND IN THAT TIME. TEKCHAND, A TWENTY-YEAR-OLD BOY, WHO WAS LIVING WITH HIS HUGE FAMILY WAS A VICTIM OF RELIGION INTOLERANCE. HE USED TO LIVE IN LARKANA, PAKISTAN WHERE THE EXISTENCE OF HINDUS  EQUIVALENT TO CRIME. HINDUS WERE EITHER FORCED TO CONVERT THEIR RELIGION TO ISLAM OR WERE KILLED TO DEATH. THE MUSLIMS KNOCKED ON HIS DOOR MANY TIMES TO CHANGE HIS RELIGION BUT HE WAS DETERMINANT TO STICK TO HIS ROOTS. PEOPLE GAVE HIM WARNINGS TO KILL HIM OR RAPE HIS SISTERS BUT HE WAS BRAVE ENOUGH TO HANDLE THEM WITH EASE. ONE DAY WHEN HE WAS RETURNING FROM HIS FIELD HE FOUND THAT HIS SISTER WAS RUNNING TOWARDS HIM FOR HELP. HER SISTER WAS PANTING HEAVILY AND WAS TRYING TO ESCAPE FROM GOONS. SHE CAME AND HID BEHIND HIM AND GAVE...
